It snowed this morning, isn’t it pretty? ^^

Taken from our front door. You can see Sephy's pawprints...

The "forest" on the other side of our yard. Looks cool, doesn't it?

The side of our "balcony/deck", I think the vines and the snow are a nice contrast ^^

Unfortunately, as a result, we didn’t get to go to church…

Phooey XP

But I got a lot of studying done as a result, so I guess it wasn’t ALL bad.

So today was the church hayride at the Hindmans’.

I managed to invite my conversation partner Yu-Cen to come. She had fun, which was the main idea, so that was good ^^

And as usual…my sense of direction is terrible *sighs*. I totally forgot where Neely Hall was, so I ended up going around in circles, then eventually, giving up, got OUT of the car and went to ask someone where it was. So since it would take more effort to drive around to get there, I just ran over XP.

Then, ALSO as usual…the girls managed to convince me to act as their “bodyguard” again this year so that they could follow the boys around the cornfield at the Hindmans’ again and scare all the internationals that were on the hayride (which btw, is really fun. never gets old XD).

And then…haha a little something not so usual. Not going to go into details because those who would want to know already know what happened (and if you don’t, I’ll simply inform you the next time I see you). VERY long story short (trust me, it’s a long story. I repeated it at least 15 times tonight, so i know what i’m talking about):
in my role of “protecting” the girls, I hurt my arm (swollen and somewhat bruised) and I fell (VERY badly twisted ankle).

So ya…not fun.
It’s been a while since I actually cried over getting injured, but this time it actually hurt a lot XP
My main concern tho, was to make sure that the girls wouldn’t see me crying because I didn’t want them to feel bad.

To any of those girls that I just mentioned, and to my best friends in the world (you know who you are): LET ME MAKE THIS VERY CLEAR: even if what happened that night happens again, I will still do the EXACT same thing that I did this time!!!! I care about you guys A LOT, and I won’t let anyone hurt you so long as I’m there and I can do something about it!!!!!!!!

So, on the whole, Missions Sunday today turned out rather well (at least in my opinion, it did)

Here’s my opinion of everything-

Korean Presentation- it was pretty good, except that there were a few times when the slides weren’t in sync with the singing, but that’s just due to having to shift back and forth between slides. But the song had a pretty good beat, and was kind of catchy. It was the kind that you could clap to, so that’s always fun ^^

Okay, I’m going to say it right now. I’m IN CCF, so I’m going to be talking more about our presentation than the others. hehe >_<

Chinese Presentation- Sally’s a music major, so her rendition of the piano part was much better than anything that I could ever pull off. I was satisfied with the powerpoint, after all, I’m the one who made it…but mostly, I’m just glad that the format came out right.
My dad is the amazing song-writer and composer of this song!! We changed a lot of things at the last minute, but I think we did pretty good. There were a few instances of people going off-key (me included, I messed up one note in the harmony part  >_<) and a couple wrong chords…but they wasn’t all that noticeable, so that was a relief.
The harmony parts were well-written and it sounded really nice! ^^ For once, I actually got to sing (not that I’d ever trade dancing for singing hehe ^^), but it was a nice alternative to just playing the flute all the time (again, not that I mind…). But I’m just glad that Sally ended up being the one to play the piano, because she did a MUCH better job. And I got to sing!! ^^ Although…I must admit, high notes and me only get along if we don’t encounter each other all that often… They’re still fun sometimes though. ^^

For those who didn’t get to hear it (or want to hear it again)- you can hear it here (right click and “save link as” if you want to save the mp3). It’s the recording of the one from Second Service.

By the way…hehe, if you can hear the higher harmony part at the end, that was me. lol ^^

Japanese Presentation- T-T I missed it both services T-T

Childrens’ Presentation- It was good, no one broke anything, no one dropped any of the flags (that would have been BAD) and the actions were mostly in sync…except for a few times, but they’re kids, so it’s okay. I must say though, they were kind of soft…People in the back were having trouble hearing them.

Indian Bible Study

Indian Presentation- There were a LOT of Indians on stage!!!! Seriously! But then again, there are ALWAYS lots of Indians. haha Their song was pretty good though and the mixing of the languages was fun to listen to.

African Group

African Presentation- African group’s presentation is always fun, complete with dancing, and stuff that only Africans can pull off without sounding/looking ridiculous. They make it look awesome!! As usual, catchy beat, congos were awesome, and AFRICAN GUYS CAN SING RIDICULOUSLY LOW!!!!!!! Seriously!! I can’t even THINK about going anywhere near that range. They were singing all the way down to the last couple lower octaves on the piano! It was so cool to listen to!!!! ^^

I got to take a BUNCH of pictures (okay, only 21…) but that’s a lot considering the people that I was taking pictures OF. haha

So, to those of you who let me take pictures today, thanks ^^

All in all, Missions Sunday was awesome. No questions asked.

To EVERYONE who is looking at this post!!!
Particularly to those of you who are radical Christians, love Jesus, and are on fire for God!!!

PLEASE go to this website to watch this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhX7m3rF20c

Just in case you’re unable to get to the video through this link, here are some simple steps to follow:
1) Go to youtube.com
2) Type in “The Fire”
3) Look for the link for “The Fire (FULL) by Nate Pfiel”

This video is SUPER convicting and is full of all sorts of heart-breaking revelations!

WORD OF WARNING: if you’re the sensitive kind, make sure that an ample supply of tissues is somewhere nearby and within reach.

The video is really intense due to the editing that this guy does to make it seem like he’s talking non-stop.

In my personal opinion, this video is amazing, and should be watched to remind us all of exactly what Jesus did for us on the cross and Nate Pfiel asks questions that truly show you how our actions reflect our love for our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus!!

I hope that this video will help you to grow in the love of Christ, and encourage you to strengthen your relationship and continue your walk with Him!

Please take this suggestion to heart and watch it!!!

I promise you that you will never regret it! ^^

This fall’s Mission’s Sunday went really well. The CCF group did the song “Fan Zhuan Di Qiu”.

Unlike the performances of before, this one was really upbeat, and fun! The singers even did this little “clapping” thing before the last repetition of the chorus, and it was really cool!

On top of it all, the dancers got to wear white t-shirts and jeans instead of the long, flare-type white silk shirts and skirts.

Personally, I thought it was a nice change in tempo. The funniest part of the day though, was when all the dancers (including the little boys), were standing in the corner of the lobby and were peering out to look at the stage. The lobby was packed with dancers in white shirts and jeans!

Hahaha!

This post is from a WHILE AGO…

I know that this entry is late, but oh well. This is my blog and I can do what I want. hahaha

So, a bunch of Saturdays ago, we went blueberry picking at the Lost Creek Farm (LCF) off of Giant City Road. For the Singapore folks that have no idea what I’m talking about, the farm was about 5 minutes drive from our house, and we went and picked our own blueberries. We came home with about 2 1/2 lbs. Some of our friends tho, came back with 8-10 lbs!!!

After we picked the blueberries, we came back to our house and had a BBQ till about 4 in the afternoon! It was fun! Here is a pic!!
